The allure of the open road, the wind in one’s hair, and the unique experiences of rural Manitoba is a timeless fascination that Manitoba by Motorcycle has managed to capture exceptionally (in my humble opinion). As an avid supporter of local tourism, I created this unique venture roughly seven years ago to showcase the beauty and charm of our beloved province, Manitoba. Preferably while venturing out on two wheels, as my life-long motto has always been: Life is Better on 2 Wheels!

Over the last seven years Manitoba by Motorcycle had grown in scope to offer new sights, new opportunities, new destinations, new insights and new tourism partners who share the passion for Manitoba. It grew from a one-man-show to a trio of fella’s who love experiencing everything on two wheels and then telling everyone about their adventures and how they can do it too. In a world dominated by fast-paced urbanization, Manitoba by Motorcycle hoped to bring a breath of fresh air by encouraging people to connect with small towns, learn Manitoba history, and explore our vast parkland areas (so very vast).

Unfortunately, for a variety of personal reasons, Manitoba by Motorcycle is shutting down. As much as I would love to continue this great local tourism initiative and continue to grow it (slowly) for years to come it is simply not feasible and I have made the incredibly difficult decision to let Manitoba by Motorcycle ride off into the sunset. Everything will continue to run as usual, sending out any patches earned, until November 1, 2023 (while supplies last). After this date the website will be displaying a notice of closure but will remain online as a promotional archive of all the amazing things to see in Manitoba.

All riders participating this year and wishing to earn a patch, submit your photos before this November 1 and patches will be mailed out before November 30, while supplies last.

However, Manitoba Motorcycle tourism is not going away entierly! You can still explore Manitoba by motorcycle by participating through the existing tourism partners (Dykes on Bikes, Central Manitoba Tourism, Eastman Tourism, Interlake Tourism and Tourism Westman) – links below.

I encourage you to keep riding and exploring and showing them all of your adventuires so they all know just how valuable and important motorcyclke tourism is.
