EatSleepRide – All Over Manitoba

2020 has been an unusual year so far, however, one thing that has remained consistent is the love for riding motorcycles. Riding is an excellent way to relieve stress, focus on just your surroundings, and a perfect way to get out and explore. Manitoba by Motorcycle has been promoting motorcycle tourism since 2016 with a special focus on local tourism.

Breathe in the Whiteshell

The Whiteshell is a large provincial park on the eastern edge of Manitoba with a large variety of lakes, campgrounds, and towns to enjoy. Cottage country is the best way to describe it. The Whiteshell is a popular place to ride a motorcycle too, with lots of relatively curvy roads that make it a rarity in Manitoba.

Komarno Mosquito

Yeah, that’s cool, but what about…

How are the locations chosen? Does this spot count? That’s cool, but what about this place? Do I need to get all these locations? Although it gets asked a lot I am always happy to answer it because it means motorcyclists are out there exploring Manitoba on 2 wheels and finding all kinds of cool places to stop. That is what Manitoba by Motorcycle is all about

St. Francis Xavier's White Horse

Go West, Young Man

I rarely have a route planned when I ride. I enjoy being totally random, stopping anywhere, turning any time, going wherever I fancy. Though thinking beyond local Manitoba motorcycle tourism there are riders who come from out of province (and country) that want to see as much as possible as fast as possible.

Winnipeg Beach – Not Just a Beach Town

I ride north from Winnipeg more often than not. Familiar roads with familiar places. It could be my chosen route because I went that way often when I was young or it maybe it could just be that north is the quickest road out of Winnipeg for me.

A New Way to Play Manitoba by Motorcycle!

At the heart of it Manitoba by Motorcycle is Manitoba motorcycle tourism with a twist. Kind of like a free poker run with a LOT of stops and a very long time to hit the stops (whole season). A fun game to play to get you out on your bike and riding all over the province of Manitoba and exploring. Whether you live here or are visiting it is a fun way to spend some time behind bars.

A Dinosaur Named Bruce

Manitoba is not exactly a hotbed of sweet ancient dino action but we do have our fair share in the valley areas. Certainly enough to promote it with a giant Mossasaur statue on a town sign. At least the city of Morden thinks so, and I agree.

Pine Falls Manitoba

It’s not the destination, it’s the ride…well, not always.

I’ve read, and likely said, this mantra thousands of times. As great as it is, it is not always true. The Canadian prairies have killer sunsets to offset the long stretches of straight roads banked by open fields. If that is what you love, then we got you covered!
